Steve Fossett

The LA Times and numerous other sources are reporting that some clues may have surfaced in the mysterious disappearance of famed aviator Steve Fossett.

Papers that included an FAA license and a membership card for a soaring society were found by a hiker in the rugged Sierra Wilderness near Mammoth Lakes, CA.  Authorities are reviewing the papers now, and the family has been notified.

Fossett, who set several aviation records, disappeared in November 2007 while flying his private plane in Nevada.
