Low-price airline JetBlue has just dropped prices for their Spring Sale - maybe to coincide with the end of Southwest Airlines "Wanna Get Away" fares ... which makes me suspect/expect that Southwest's sale may be mysteriously extended in markets where they compete with JetBlue.
While some of the destinations are indeed just $39, plus taxes and fees, most of them are in the under-$100 range.
More interesting is the new offer Jet Blue is including, borrowing from car manufacturers who are offering to take back a new car without impacting your credit rating if you lose your jog. Here, it's a little simple - Jet Blue says if you lose your job, they'll refund your ticket.
If things are so shaky that this sounds like a good idea to you, I would also recommend you get a travel insurance policy for your vacation - you can get policies that include loss-of-job protection.
