British Airways has launched a major sale on round-trip fares to dozens of destinations worldwide - including Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East. Tickets must be booked by November 19th, and if you want to a avoid a $20 per ticket phone-in fee, you need to book via the website or a travel agent. Remember travel agents? They miss you.
The special fares are good for flights between November 17, 2009, and March 28, 2010. Most tickets will incur additional fees of about US 160. Many of these sale prices are for highly-desirable or unusual destinations such as London (for about $650 round trip), Cairo, Istanbul, and many others, including Paris, Madrid, Milan, Rome, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Dubai, Cairo, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Mauritius, Maldives, Entebbe, Hong Kong, Delhi and Mumbai . Here's the complete list.
There's a slew of mostly minor restrictions- the rates are for "Mid-week" travel which British Airways defines as Monday-Wednesday (which sounds like "beginning of the week" travel to me). All fares are based on a seven-day advance purchase, and certain routes have additional restrictions.
