If your holidays aren't complete without a touch of Jul, check out these low fares to Scandinavia offered by Icelandair, starting at just $399 per round-trip ticket. But you'll have to act quickly - these fares are valid for travel through March 31, 2009 but they must be booked between Monday November 24, 2008 and Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2008.
Icelandair is calling these the "Unity" fares and says they're offering them as a way of thanking Denmark, Norway, and Sweden for providing financial help to Iceland during its current financial crisis. Not all of their websites promote this special fare - you may have to call and book it directly.
As with any Icelandair flight that connects through Reykjavik, passengers can choose to break up their travel with up to four days' layover in Iceland, making these flights a great way to experience Iceland as well as the Scandinavian countries.
Taxes and fees will add about $150 - 200 to the ticket price, still a great fare.
