While next week's new releases may not knock you over with sheer numbers, we're due for a few major albums at least. I highly recommend pre-ordering whatever you want on Amazon right NOW, since their prices on a couple of these titles are shockingly low at the moment. So what's on tap? Let me tell you.
Grizzly Bear- Veckatamist
Definitely one of the most anticipated indie releases of the year, Veckatamist leaked months back in extremely low sound resolution. Now it arrives just the way Brooklyn's Grizzly Bear intended. Any who likes trippy folky lo-fi music will probably obsess over this album. I must confess, that includes me. I'm sure you'll find this on my Top 10 albums post at the end of the year.

Phoenix- Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
French popsters return with another album of delightful melodies that will probably induce fits of smiling. I've had a listen and it's not as good as some of their older material, but still worth a spin or two.
Amazon Price: 8.99
Marilyn Manson- The High End of Low
He's back! Joy. I have nothing much to add. It's Marilyn Manson. If you don't know what he sounds like by now, you probably don't listen to music anyway.
Amazon Price: 9.99
Mandy Moore- Amanda Leigh
The newly minted Mrs. Ryan Adams appears to have a few more tricks up her to sleeve to increase her indie-cred. Amanda Leigh's product description claims this album is inspired by her "love for Paul McCartney's Ram album and the songwriting of artists like Todd Rundgren, Joni Mitchell, CSNY and Nilsson." Wow. Let's hope some of that rubs off on her. Plus, she'll be doing an in-store at Amoeba next Tuesday, May 26th. You go Mandy!
Amazon Price: 9.99
All the above albums will be released on Tuesday, May 26th on CD, LP (Phoenix and Grizzly Bear only for now), and DD.
