Is the suspense killing you? Ever since the Bachelorette ended in July and good ‘ol Jillian chose Ed as her “soul mate” despite the fact he can’t get it up in the bedroom but somehow manages to cheat on her with three other chicks, there has been endless speculation as to who the next Bachelor will be.

My secret lover, Chris Harrison, had this to say via Twitter: “Here it is... The new Bachelor will be announced Tuesday Oct 13th live on "Dancing with the Stars" ABC!”

Will the next Bachelor be Reid?

So who will it be? In early August, Bachelor Producer, Mike Fleiss, confirmed the final three choices for the next installment of The Bachelor. He told Entertainment Tonight, “When the new season of The Bachelor premieres, look for Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke or Jake Pavelka to be handing out the red roses.”

How do we feel about Kiptyn, Reid or Jake becoming the next Bachelor? Each of these guys would bring something good and bad….

Jake: Bad because he cries more than a 5 year-old girl. He’s way too gentle and tame. Not Bachelor franchise material at all. Where would the sex, drugs and rock and roll be with Jake at the Bachelor helm? Exactly. On the plus side, however, it could be quite entertaining watching poor Jake struggle with the excruciating decision of who to let go every week.

Reid: Bad because he’s an emotional ice cube. I’m not sure the producers want a guy on the show who probably wouldn’t propose at the end. Personally, I dig Reid. Of the three, he’s the one I’d like to date. I guess I like ice cubes. Or I dislike super emotional people. Either way, he’s hot, funny and sweet, so he’d bring some fun times to the Bachelor table.

Kiptyn: Bad because he’s also a bit non-committal. He would be a good choice, though. Of the three guys, I think he’d be the most accepted by the general viewing public. In a nutshell, he’s hot, he’s a really nice guy and I can’t wait to see his overly Botox-ed mom and ball-busting sister in action again.

The 14th season of The Bachelor premiers in January 2010. I know, it feels so far away. Sigh.

So who will be the lucky guy handing out the roses and who will be the lovely ladies handing him the STDs? Tune into Dancing with the D List…I mean, Dancing with the Stars, on Tuesday, October 13th, for the big announcement.
