According to News Wise, Vanderbilt University issued a press release announcing that on April 10, the National Center on School Choice at Vanderbilt published a new book exploring the question of school choice. However, while the debate may be an old one, The Handbook of Research on School Choice examines the question of school choice from several different perspectives:
[The book] brings together top research on major forms of school choice, including charter schools, vouchers, homeschooling, magnet schools, private schools, virtual schools, supplementary education services and tuition tax credits.
In addition the authors explore school choice both in the United States and abroad. With the US education system falling behind, it will be interesting to read what other countries are doing to allow parents to become more involved in where their children are educated.
