Here's a fun and easy make-at-home Halloween children's book formatted like the children's classic, Brown Bear, Brown, What Do You See?  This book is called Green Witch, Green Witch, What Do You See?  Children love the predictable sequence, the fun shapes and the color recognition.

The text is a simple sequence that encourages pre-reading skills with clear visual cues and predictable phrasing.  See the sample pages in the slideshow.

Use the text from the slideshow or make your own Halloween theme pages.  Use color markers for the color words to help children identify the words.  Make a small book to carry in purses or diaper bags or make a "big book" like in the slideshow.

Happy Halloween reading!
