At-home RNC party for kids

August 13, 11:11 AM
by Karen Deerwester, Parenting Examiner

It's an elephant party - RNC style!(source)
Bring on the elephants for the Republican National Convention stay-at-home celebration!  If you're watching the RNC at home with your kids, you can make it a P-A-R-T-Y that your kids will remember for the next four years.  In addition to those personal and political conversations talking about how to make the world a better place and how to choose leaders you respect, your kids will appreciate a little kid-friendly party paraphernalia.

  • The  GOP Store has all the traditional Republican shirts, hats, and stuffed elephants.
  • Cafe Press has all the fun and quirky clothing-for-kids - the "wee-republican" t-shirts and the "my parents are raising me right" shirts.
  • Directions for the Elephant Cake are available from  Family Fun.
  • Elephant  chocolate molds that say "vote republican" and the mold for elephant   candy suckers are from Cakesnthings.com
  • Finally,  pinatas.com has your elephant pinata

So, get the helium tank, the balloons and everything red-white-blue in sight.  It's time to get excited about voting for president!

Please be sure to take your child with you when you vote!

For more patriotic party supplies, try Shindigz.com and Oriental Trading.
