Dear Moms and Dads,

Parenting can be pure joy - laughter and sweetness.  It's also messy - dirt and poop and buggy body parts.  Sometimes, parenting is frightening - middle of the night fevers and daytime dangers. On this Thanksgiving Day, I extend a gigantanormous THANK YOU to you for all you are and all you do.

You are deeply and unconditionally loved.  (Yes, Liza, teen boys still hold love in the hearts; it's just temporarily unrecognizable.)

You make a difference in everyday, invisible ways like a snowflake that adds weight in tiny increments.

You are not alone as you give you best and face your limits making innumerable parenting decisions.  So many are here to support your journey.

You have within you and around you everything you need to raise capable, loving children who will contribute uniquely to this world.

Take a minute this busy Thanksgiving Day to savor the love and hope you bring to the world.  Happy Parenting & A Very Happy Thanksgiving!
