In case you haven't been in the malls lately, or in the past 6 weeks, the holidays are approaching quickly. Your Charlotte Cruise Ships Examiner was in Wal-Mart yesterday picking up some groceries, and on the loudspeakers, some old-time favorite Christmas carols were playing. Waiting until the last minute to buy that perfect gift is something that most people want to avoid.

Enter Carnival Cruise Lines. The cruise giant is offering a unique gift opportunity: give the gift of cruise to friends, family, co-workers, assistants, sales teams, whomever you would bless during the holiday season. Imagine the surprise on the faces of your parents, best friends, new acquaintances, or others when you present them with this one-of-a-kind gift.

These gifts come in the form of certificates that are valid for a 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 day Fall Cruise for Two and most include all government taxes, fees and gratuities. These certificates begin at $358 for two guests. This price of course is for a 3 and 4 day cruise certificate on selected ships only, in an interior category 4A stateroom for Fall sailings only. This particular price does not include the government taxes, fees and gratutites. Ocean view certificates, and those that include the taxes, fees and gratuties cost extra. Full payment is due at the time of purchase. Certificates will be customized with the name of the person purchasing the gift. The recipient of the certificate will have the option of upgrading the certificate at an additional cost. There is no minimum purchase required and the certificate is valid for 18 months unless required by law.

These certificates are on sale until December 31, 2009, so make those plans today by calling your local travel agent who can help you.

For more of the cruising experience, stay tuned for future articles. Until then, Bon Voyage!
