Jon Busch and Logan Pause have been named to the finalized 23-man U.S. roster for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.  The tournament begins next week as the Americans open training camp Tuesday in Seattle in preparation for their July 4 opener against Grenada at Qwest Field. They then move on to RFK Stadium to face Honduras on July 8 and Foxborough to take on Haiti three days later.

Pause will be looking for his first cap as Bob Bradley brought fresh faces into the team to allow the current squad in South Africa to get some well-earned rest.  Pause will be competing for minutes with Stuart Holden (Houston Dynamo), Colin Clark (Colorado Rapids), Sam Cronin (Toronto FC), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders) and Davy Arnaud (Kansas City Wizards).

Jon Busch was added to the roster as the emergency goalkeeper and will stay with the Fire unless suspension or injury makes it necessary for him to join the squad.

If the U.S. reaches the finals of the Gold Cup, Pause could miss all four Fire games in July (7/4 @Rapids, 7/11 v. Crew, 7/17 v. Earthquakes, 7/25 @ Sounders).  With a weak group and the possibility of three teams advancing in the four team group, the U.S. is expected to qualify for the quarter finals, which would hold Pause out of the Fire lineup until July 18 at the earliest.

Gonzalo Segares was also named to Costa Rica's preliminary Gold Cup roster, but the Ticos finalized roster has not yet been announced.
