I'm in the process of breaking down the odds of the Fire putting together a deep playoff run, but in the mean time here are some links to get you caught up on what's happening with the team:

Section 8 has organized a Supporters' Player of the Year award, with the winner receiving $2,500 for their favorite charity.  Vote here.

Even more reason to root for a high-scoring game.

Rolfe is set to return to the first XI this Saturday against New England.

Grahame L. Jones of the L.A. Time quickly glances past Chris Rolfe as a possible replacement for Charlie Davies on the National team.  Although Rolfe hasn't shown much in his brief appearances for the U.S., he hasn't truly been given a chance during qualifying.  If Rolfe sees regular playing time in Denmark next year, I would not be surprised to see him in South Africa by years end.  Plus, how can you not want this on your side.

The Fire's home woe's are on pace to be the second worst in league history (in terms of points per game difference between away games and home games).

Peter Wilt explains his move back to Milwaukee Wave.  Good Luck Pete.

The radio call from Honduras last night as the U.S. found a late equalizer, sending Los Catrachos to their first World Cup in 28 years and only their second appearance all-time.  No need for a translation.
