By now, we all know that musician Sam Bradley making his way around the United States, supporting Thriving Ivory, and that he is in the southeast.
In preparation for his upcoming show tomorrow in Nashville, Tennessee, Bradley was interviewed by the the Tennessean.
In the interview, Bradley discussed everything from the Twilight soundtrack and Robert Pattinson to his current tour and future plans.
According to the article,
“I knew the movie was going to be a big deal,” the London native says. “I knew that the soundtrack would also do well, but I did not think that it would trickle down so much to the co-writers such as myself. For that (success) to break my own music, I think, is quite extraordinary.”
...
“It was just me (managing my career), because it never needed to be anyone other than just me. Then thousands of emails started coming in, and thousands of (MySpace) plays a day, and gigs offered here, here and here. I didn’t even have a manager. I don’t know, I was lost for a little while.”
...
Today, Bradley has a clear — and ambitious — game plan. He’s currently on tour with Top 40 rockers Thriving Ivory, and he’s taking advantage of a break in the schedule to play a headlining gig at Nashville club 3rd and Lindsley on July 3rd. At the end of the month, he’ll head to TwiCon, a three-day Twilight fan convention held in Dallas. Bradley says he’s happy to be associated with the Twilight phenomenon.
“I know I’m going to break out of it, and I know that it’s going to be a wonderful, blessed thing that has happened in my life, and something that can go on my resume, as one of many (things.)”
As for plans to work with Pattinson in the future, he says, “We’re just two friends that play guitar, so I’m sure that’ll come up again.”
Sam Bradley performs at 7 p.m. Friday, July 3rd at 3rd & Lindsley (818 Third Ave. S., 259-9891). Tickets are $15, available at www.3rdandlindsley.com.
