Inflammatory? That is the question that surrounds a reported comment by True Blood star Stephen Moyer on The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson (or, perhaps, his character Edward Cullen).

Preceded by a naughty word which will not be repeated here, Moyer is quoted to say "He's the Slim-Fast, Diet Coke of vampires."

The statement was reportedly said during an interview that Moyer did with Marie Claire - this according to Hollywood Gossip, and we have reached out to HBO and are awaiting commentary on the matter.

The choice of words, if true, are a quite colorful addition to the True Blood versus Twilight debate that has been going on lately.

While many fans are friendly to both, some fans (from both camps) take the distinction quite to heart (and mouth).

Debates over the strength of character of the protagonist women, whether the two realms of vampire characters could co-exist, and the like are but a few examples of the conversations that have been waged.

This particular quote, if accurate, is certain to further that discussion.
