When the Twilight soundtrack hit stores, it was instantly successful, crawling to the top of sales charts without hesitation.

What some fans were surprised to hear was that Robert Pattinson, who was slated to star as Edward Cullen in the film, was the singer on one of the songs on the physical soundtrack ("Never Think (Too Far Gone)"), and on another on the iTunes bonus version ("Let Me Sign").

What we came to find out was that "Never Think" was co-authored by Pattinson and friend Sam Bradley, and that "Let Me Sign" was co-authored by Bobby Long and Marcus Foster (also friends of Pattinson's). Ever since, the career of the three (Bradley, Long, and Foster) has taken the interest of many.

The Land of Dreamers was born as a result of that interest.

Says Lizzy, founder of the L.O.D.,

Once the Twilight soundtrack blew through record store shelves at the speed of light, the guys started blogging about going into the studio and planning a North American Tour. After a very intense [G]oogle search of the guys that led to several movies, a CEO of Apple, a random blogger and a basketball player, I realized that besides their MySpaces, there really wasnt any other online resource for the guys.

...

We racked our brains for about a week coming up with a good name for the Community that represented all 3 guys. One night I was listening to Sam's MySpace playlist and the song "Derek" came on. There is a line in there that says, "I have conquered the land of dreams." and it just fit perfectly...The Land of Dreamers, a place where we can follow Bobby, Sam and Marcus and watch their dreams come true ... and America is sometimes called the Land of Dreams too...it just fit so well.

Since then, thousands of fans of the three have joined hands at L.O.D., keeping up with their music, their press releases, showtimes, and tours without rest.

In attending the shows, says Lizzy,

... today's music fan is very much like those that followed The Grateful Dead around and attended the original Woodstock - for the love of the music and to feel like they are a part of something important. What the Land of Dreamers has to offer is just that: a place where you can come and meet other people who have similiar music tastes, a place where you can truly experience music on a raw level - the grass roots level. The energy is incredible, and our members are a force to be reckoned with.

A force, indeed, they are. At any given (U.S.) concert for these three, one is sure to spot a member of the L.O.D. in attendance, and Long, Bradley, and Foster are not apt to forget it. In gratitude for what Bradley calls the "incredible reach" of the L.O.D., these artists are particularly known for giving their thanks to their most die-hard fans in this group by always taking time to say hello after (and sometimes before via meet-and-greets) the shows.

Says Lizzy, "[t]hrough these short yet amazing 6 months working alongside these guys, they have stayed true to form. You will never meet a more humble, more honest group of guys." After having spent some time with Long and Bradley myself (see here), I couldn't agree more.

With their fanbase growing ever more fierce by the second, the berth of the L.O.D. continues to grow. Welcoming membership with open arms, they say, "[w]e do it for the music."
