Breast cancer, which affects hundreds of thousands of women each year, is no joke to Twilight fans and film star Michael Welch, who plays Mike Newton in Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

My friend over at the blogsite PillowBiters says that "[t]his campaign is especially close to my heart, which is why I'm passionate about being an integral part [of it]. My mom's breast cancer just matastasized into her pericardium (heart sac), 16 years after her first bout with breast cancer."

The campaign, which is led by fansite Touched by Twilight, hopes to help promote breast cancer awareness and screening by helping to provide mammograms, an important pre-cancer screening test, to women of limited means.

All it takes to get involved is a click of the mouse! Each day in April, each click will help to provide these women such free testing. For more information, see here.
