Despite what The Phoenix might have had to say about The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Little Ashes, and How To Be star Robert Pattinson (see here for a discussion of that), he has just been inducted into People's 100 Most Beautiful for 2009.

Fans, to put it plainly, are not surprised.

According to People.com's sneak peak of the listees, "The Twilight star, 22, says he doesn't quite understand his heartthrob status – or the fuss about his signature tousled do. 'I don't get it. It's funny, you look the same for years and no one ever mentions it. Then suddenly it's a big deal.'"

Sitting pretty at the #1 spot on IMDb's starometer for goodness knows how long, it has been evident to Robert Pattinson's enormous fanbase for quite some time that he is, indeed, one of the most beautiful people -- and not just for his looks.

Known for his devotion to friends (Sam Bradley and Bobby Long, for instance), his unapologetic candor with the media and fans, being listed as the Bravo Break Out star, and making a showing at the Oscar's ceremony, Robert Pattinson is widely known to be more than just a pretty face.

His addition to People's list is just one more example.
