Twilight, Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Stephenie Meyer fans are in for a great couple of weeks.
First of all, Twilight is coming out on DVD this weekend (for more, see here). While most of us have probably pre-ordered the DVD, there is still much to be done, I'm afraid. Many of us are going to be busy planning away for your very own DVD-release parties or trying to find one nearby. Others of us are on pins and needles with anticipation. Sadly, this means that many of the nation's last-chance theaters, who've been keeping Twilight on their play lists (for those of us who have seen it far too many times and still can't quit... see here for more on that), have finally put away the reel, for good (though New Moon will be taking its place before we know it!).
Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight: Director's Notebook: The Story of How we Made the Movie Based on the Novel, is set for release on Tuesday, March 17th, according to Amazon. The book, which is set to include scene sketches, Catherine's diary and personal mementos, as well as others, down to wardrobe selection secrets, is one that many fans look forward to for insight on the Twilight movie. Some fans, claiming they don't understand why certain scenes from the book were omitted from the movie, are very curious as to why (not to mention setting the bar higher for Chris Weitz with New Moon - see here). Needless to say, the release of this book, alongside the DVD, will make for a great week for fans of the book and film.
The next few weeks promise to be great for fans of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as well. With Kristen Stewart's Adventureland set for release on April 3rd, followed closely by Robert Pattinson's Little Ashes (which was supposed to be released on April 10th, but will be pushed back to May 8), fans of the duo will get to see them in very different, but promising, roles. Another short of Rob's, The Summer House, is rumored to be out in April as well. Kristen Stewart's eclectic hit The Cake Eaters is set for release on DVD on March 21, 2009 (the same date as Twilight).
Indeed, it looks to be a busy, but great, couple of weeks for fans of the Twilight series and its actors.
