See Earth this weekend unless you missed...

Not sure which movie to see this week in theaters? Let me help you out. The following is a list of films playing in the majority of theaters around the nation, including a rare back-to-back "best in theaters" film and an engrossing, awe-inspiring documentary appropriately released on "Earth" Day.

See these fifteen films in order from top to bottom:

1.  State of Play - See-it - The best film in theaters again this week has an astounding cast performing at the peak of their careers to deliver a story so powerful and intriguing that, despite this hype, you will not expect. State of Play is the best journalism movie since Shattered Glass and the best film in theaters since Slumdog Millionaire.

2. Earth - See-it - If you liked Planet Earth (and who didn't) you will love seeing this feature-length film on the big screen. And if you haven't seen Planet Earth, go rent or buy the series on Blu-ray now!

3. Throw Down Your Heart - See-it - One of a very few films rated a perfect 100% on RottenTomatoes.com. This movie follows an American banjo player on his journey to Africa.

4.  Crank High Voltage - See-it - Makes sitting through the 2 hours of the first film well worth your time!

5.  I Love You, Man - See-it - The best comedy in theaters this week is another hilarious adult comedy starring always-funny Paul Rudd.

6.  Monsters vs. Aliens - See-it in 3D - Great family flick, and especially entertaining in 3D for all ages. If the gross list of stars doing voices and the relentless marketing doesn't draw you into theaters, the thumbs-up reviews should.

7. The Soloist - Rent-it - This film starring two Hollywood heavy hitters fails to knock it out of the park.

8. Tyson - Rent-it - Unless you can find this Iron Mike documentary in a theater near you.

9.  17 Again - Rent-it - The story has been done a hundred times before but never this well, and never this funny.

10.  Observe and Report - Rent-it - Is not for everybody, but for those it caters to it's like smashing your funny bone into the corner of the kitchen table.

11. Obsessed - Rent-it - For poor acting, rare thrills and pretty ladies and no other reason!

12. Fighting - Skip-it - Unless you are an actual MMA fighter you will be gravely disappointed.

13. The Informers - Skip-it - This depressing film fails to inform like previous works by Easton (i.e. American Pyscho) but is visually stunning.

14.  Hannah Montana: The Movie - Skip-it - You already know if you will like this before you see it. Follow your gut.

15.  Fast and Furious - Skip-it - (Biggest opening of any film in 2009 so far) Genuinely interested, certainly awful, and for many fans a must-see-it, must-buy-it film, but you should skip-it.
