Not sure which movie to see this week in theaters? Let me help you out. The following is a list of films playing in the majority of theaters around the nation, including some more new releases worth skipping and a Terminator film not quite as bad Wolverine and just a pinch better than The Da Vinci Code 2. Unfortunately, you may want to skip the theaters this holiday weekend and just enjoy the pool and BBQ. Or go see one of these past releases if you haven't already:

1.  Star Trek - See-it - Best in theaters again this week - This witty, sexy and violent film is truly the first Star Trek film for everyone. Even after 2 hours and 6 minutes, Trekkies and newbies alike will walk out wanting more - which inevitably will come in just a few years time following an $80 opening weekend.

2.  State of Play - See-it - This film has an astounding cast performing at the peak of their careers to deliver a story so powerful and intriguing that, despite this hype, you will not expect.

3.  Earth - See-it - If you liked Planet Earth (and who didn't) you will love seeing this feature-length film on the big screen.

4.  Burma VJ - See-it if you can - A journalistic documentary behind the scenes in a closed-off Burma.

5.  Angels & Demons - Rent-it - This sequel was highly anticipated due to the popularity of the book, but unfortunately this literature doesn't translate to film as well The Da Vinci Code.

6.  Terminator Salvation - Rent-it - Better special effects but a less interesting story than the originals -- and surprisingly, not much better acting. Maybe it's the DP Shane Hurlbut's fault: "Are your professional or not?!"

7.  X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Rent-it - Either to see the hype, witness Hugh Jackman jacked up, or if you're a huge X-Men fanboy. Otherwise, I'm sorry to say but it's probably worth skipping.

8.  The Soloist - Rent-it - This film starring two Hollywood heavy hitters fails to knock it out of the park, but will leave its mark on your heart.

9.  Management - Rent-it - A strange and awkward stalker romance that is more uncomfortable to watch than Jennifer Aniston's character seems to be with her stalker Steve Zahn.

10.  Easy Virtue - Rent-it - A light American story starring some recognizable faces (Jessica Biel and Colin Firth) caught in between the new world and the old.

11.  17 Again - Rent-it - The story has been done a hundred times before but never this well, and never this funny.

12.  Obsessed - Rent-it - The poor acting, pretty ladies drove box office numbers and is the only reason you should be tempted to watch.

13.  Next Day Air - Skip-it - A mindless violent comedy that sets the bar low and fails to reach it.

14.  Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian - Skip-it - Unless you are a huge Ben Stiller fan in need of a fun family film this holiday weekend this first feature-film shot in the Smithsonian is definitely worth missing.

15.  Ghosts of Girlfriends Past - Skip-it - An all-too-typical Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner unfunny, rarely cute romantic comedy.
