Oprhan is one of the ten best scary movies of the year.

Not sure which DVD to pull off the new release shelf? Need a new Blu-ray to show off in 1080p? Or maybe you're looking through the new releases on Netflix and don't know what to add to your queue?

This week you'll find no old movies re-released on Blu-ray, but Orphan is borderline good enough to buy on DVD or Blu-ray (if you are into that sort of thing):

Orphan - Rent-it - The ending truly is the most shocking twist since Sixth Sense, and the kid is just as creepy as Samara from The Ring.

Virtual JFK - Rent-it - This controversial "what-if" documentary about a history that never happened is interesting in its parallels to today and, if nothing else, reminds us how charismatic JFK was before his untimely death.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs - Skip-it - Unfortunately, this originally hilarious and adorable series about our near-Dinosaur and pre-human friends is nearing its extinction.

Whatever Works - Skip-it - Despite a smart, talented cast including Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood, and Patricia Clarkson this film directed by Woody Allen about an eccentric New Yorker is anything but eccentric itself.

Afterwards - Skip-it - John Malkovich and Evangeline Lilly (LOST) star in this horror/suspense supernatural thriller about a man who's haunted by death and near-death experiences from his past.

Stan Helsing - Skip-it - It will have you wishing they never made Scary Movie and blaming the great spoofs like Holy Grail and Airplane.

The Tournament
- Skip-it - This film with an interesting concept (two assassins competing in a fight to the death for a million dollars) won't even satisfy those adrenaline-seeking action-packed movie fans.
