Many places around the nation and the world lay claim to the title "Golfers Paradise" -- South Carolina, Florida, Hawaii . . .

Few can match the depth and breadth of courses available in and around San Diego County.

The choices range from economical and executive sized, such as Tecolote Canyon where a junior golfer named Phil Mickelson once honed his wizardly short game, to the oversize and upscale: Torrey Pines has hosted a PGA Tour stop for decades and Barona Valley played host to the Nationwide Championship.

Links below lead to collections organized by geography. San Diego County is an area that spans 4,500 square miles. This being southern California, it helps to realize if you're visiting from out of the area that a little advance planning is definitely in order when mulling those tee times.
