This event is a bit more than a month away, but it's still never too early to make plans for an evening of No Limit Texas Hold 'em featuring sports celebs and stars of the screens and all for a good cause.

 The Celebrity Poker Challenge set for April 24 at Morgan Run Resort & Club in Rancho Santa Fe is one of the featured events at the San Diego Celebrity Classic golf tournament.

Proceeds benefit San Diego Pro Kids, which is one of the model outfits affiliated with the First Tee organization. Pro Kids' mission is to make a positive impact on the lives of inner-city youth using the game of golf as an educational tool, develop character and help then learn life- skills and values.

Onward now, as this event features celebrity hostess Katie Porrello, a pro poker player who you might have caught on Spike TV's "King of Vegas" series, the 2006 World Series of Poker, Ladies No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em, and the World Poker Tour.

For a mere $1,000, you receive:

• One seat in the Celebrity Poker Challenge
• One guest spectator pass
• Hors d'oeuvres and complimentary bar

But wait, there's more. It also includes the San Diego Celebrity Classic hospitality package:

• Two tickets to the Celebrity Draw Party April 23
• Two tickets to Union Bank Drinks on the Links Party April 24
• Two tickets to the Celebrity Dinner Gala April 25

Winning the Celebrity Poker Challenge grand prize nets a Las Vegas vacation via private jet, which includes a round of golf,

dinner, a private lesson with Katie  and other fun stuff. Even the folks who don't win receive the opportunity to pick up some nice jewelry, golf, casinos, travel, spa packages, and etc.

For the price of a $125 spectator ticket, you get the  hosted hors d'oeuvres, complimentary bar, and an chance to win some of the above said prizes.
