There is no end to the number of contests being staged daily at various times throughout the fair's 22 day run.

Some of them even have prizes.

Young, and the young at heart, have the opportunity to compete.

A few of the old favorites include the pictured Pie Eating contest, held daily at noon on the Plaza Stage. Enter just before the contest. The Sack Races are held daily at 3 p.m. in the Sparkletts Water Infield Contest Area. Enter just before the contest. Most Patriotic Costume Contest is Saturday, July 4, 3:30 p.m., Infield Stage. Enter just before the contest.

A few things to keep in mind as you surf the fair's contest page listed below. If there's a registration deadline, pre-registration is required. Some contests will admit you to the Fair free on the day of the contest between certain hours, provided you have a completed entry form and your entry when you go through the gate. Check individual contest info. Once the contest date has passed, they remove the info from the contest page.

If you're into reading the forms and filling out entries, they are presented as PDF documents and you need to install  the Adobe Reader program.

Check out the fair's information page for the complete info on contests for:

Adults

Kids and teens

All ages
