You want animals? You want animals. The San Diego County Fair has animals of all shapes and sizes, from babies to veteran trained professionals.

Most of the activities are at AgriFair in the Wyland Center. There, you can hang out with such barnyard regulars as baby chicks,  sheep, goats, piggies, cattle, poultry, wabbits, and pigeons.

Junior Livestock Auction is the place where the 4-H'ers auction off their raised lifestock. That's Saturday, July 4. More than 1,000 young people who are 4-H members auction off the blue-ribbon-winning animal they paid to raise. Funds provide an important "agri-business experience" and help toward educational goals.

Daily contests at AgriFair include tosses: bean bag, squash, rubber chicken, onion, garlic, potato, vegetable (cookies -- after riding the attractions with too much fair food inside). Also, onion bowling, vegetable bowling, prune-pit spitting, cherry tomato and carrot eating.

Sunday, June 21, Sheep to Shawl, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shear a sheep, card the wool, spin the wool and weave a shawl.

    * World of Horses: Located in the Infield, the World of Horses features 20 different breeds of horses. Free behind-the-scenes tours are offered daily. Daily through July 2; closed July 3-5.

    * Swifty Swine Races: Meet some of the fastest porkers in the West daily in the Durante Area. Several times daily.
