We've "blogged" once, we've "blogged" twice, and perhaps even more about the wisdom of traveling south of the border these days -- heck with the swine flu, it's just plain violent down there.

The latest proof comes in the form of the news that four young people from these parts are no longer with us, they were found strangled, stabbed and beaten in a van in Tijuana.

The four reportedly headed out for a night on the town south of the border, were reported missing after not answering a cell phone call.

Their bodies were found on Saturday, but the deaths were not reported because the investigation was supposedly ongoing.

A police lieutenant from Chula Vista tells the Union-Tribune he doesn't think young people should be going to Mexico right now. Says it's just plain unsafe.
