The Bulls begin preseason play, Friday, by beating the Indiana Pacers with a 104-95 on the road to start their preseason voyage.
The Bulls were led by rookie Taj Gibson's 19 points and 9 rebounds.
One game doesn't make a career, but if you're a Bulls fan, or even still feel the sorrow of Chicago losing its bid to host the 2016 Olympic Games, watching Gibson go to work had to make you optimistic about this season.
The Bulls also forced the Pacers into 21 turnovers and got to the line 36 times, hitting 31 of them.
Derrick Rose chipped in 17 points, Luol Deng went 9-9 at the line for 15 points, tying him with John Salmons and rookie Derrick Byars hit some big shots down the stretch, finishing with 12 points.
Kirk Hinrich, Brad Miller and Jannero Pargo did not play.
Danny Granger led the Pacers with 27 points in 26 minutes.
The Bulls come home tonight, where they will have a short rest and than, leave for London tomorrow evening. They will arrive Sunday morning, where they will have to adjust to the time difference in time to play their second preseason game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
