A musician became an Internet sensation when he posted a song on YouTube this week about United Airlines breaking his guitar.
David Carroll, a Canadian guitarist for the pop-rock group Sons of Maxwell, wrote a song about his struggle to get compensation for what he terms 'a vicious act of malice' at O'Hare International Airport last year.
Carroll was changing planes in Chicago when the passenger seated next to him in the window seat saw baggage handlers throwing guitar cases.
Carroll spent the past year trying to get compensation. When United Airlines refused to take responsibility, the singer created the humorous music video and posted it online.
Carroll said the airline's officials liked the video and plan to use it as a textbook case on how [not] to handle customer complaints in the future.
The singer has been receiving calls for appearances since the video was posted - including a call from the Oprah Winfrey show.
