UNM Athletics PhotoWHO:  UNM Lobos 2009 Football, headed by new head coach Mike Locksley

WHAT:  The Lobos are part of the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and are a NCAA Division 1 Football team.  The MWC poll didn’t rank the Lobos very high for the 2009 season, so Coach Locksley has an opportunity to put on a big show with his team this year by beating those ranked above them.  The rankings, which were released last week, are as follows:
1- TCU; 2- Brigham Young; 3- Utah; 4- Air Force; 5- UNLV; 6- Colorado State; 7-UNM; 8- San Diego State and 9-Wyoming.

WHEN:  The UNM 2009 football program begins on September 5, at 5pm MST in College Station, TX with a game against Texas A&M.

What’s the rest of the Lobo football schedule?
