Helping usher in the Holiday season the Maritime Family Festival is tomorrow, Saturday November 7th. Located on Lake Union in the Naval Reserve Amory Building and the Historic Ships Wharf it is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is something at the festival for everyone in the family. It is a great time to get started on your holiday shopping with maritime items, new and used books, toys, and other unique gifts on sale through various vendors.

Maritime music, including sea chanteys and ballads, will be performed by various musicians throughout the day . Activities for the children will include toy boat building, a scavenger hunt, and a coloring station. Everyone will enjoy the historic tours of the steamer Virginia V and the Arthur Foss.

The event is free though donations are gladly accepted. So spend your Saturday on South Lake Union and get a jump on your holiday season while keeping in the maritime spirit.
