Humans only please.

Want to get your bug on this morning? Sure you do. Check out the bigger, faster, stronger trailer for Peter Jackson's (producing credit only) new cinema verite-ish, alien vs. human, Summer movie action extravaganza - District 9: (oh, and it's also been rated "R" - so I'm guessing no punch goes pulled in this flick)

Trailer Critique: I'll be honest. Until now my interest in District 9 has been a waning interest. Sort of like the feeling I had pre-Cloverfield and then again post-Cloverfield. I like this docu-fiction style, (using the term cinema-verite is just so... just so... pretentious and French-ish? I like docu-fiction more - it goes great with cheeseburgers) and I dig the entire "illegal alien syndrome" angle that they're dangling in front of us here. I know the hyper-intellects may have been hoping for 3 hours of hard extrospection concerning xenophobia and the consequences of oppression - but it looks like we're getting a sh*tstorm of man-vs-alien full contact karate here. Couldn't be happier with that. And that "R" rating means that things can and will get heavier than expected. This just might be the movie to be at come August 14th. Let's just say that my interest has almost totally un-waned.
