I got to jump on this Battlestar news while I still am able to. Any day now, maybe even any minute now there'll be a Battlestar Galacti-zaminer working here and my Battlestar buzz will be silenced HENCEFORTH. But until that moment allow me to freak the frak out.
Battlestar Galactica has finally been greenlit for a theatrical adaptation. Before you go all fubar, (frakked up beyond recognition) on me, and get all excited allow me to toss in a tiny wrinkle, a small snafu, (situation normal all frakked up) if you will, into this bit o' good news.
We won't be seeing a big screen version of William Adama, Laura Roslin, Kara Thrace and Lee Adama's story currently closing down its last frakking season on television. This new movie will be about the original Battlestar: 1978-79 era. Yes all the same masterminds currently making this series the best scripted show on television, (Glen A. Larson and co.) will be writing this new feature film. It'll just have a new cast and the more classic Cylon models to accompany the picture.
There is no official word yet on casting, (please let there be a few new series actor cameos in this flick) or on a Director or when and where the movie will actually begin filming. Expect a frakking announcement soon and a possible Summer 2010 release date...
