"This is how I would have carried Fay Wray!!"

Of course this is up for purely "fun fact" speculation, and most definitely NOT celebrating anything and everything a really, really, bad guy like Adolph Hitler did with his life here on our planet.

Plus I think these favorite movies of these famous world leaders are a nice window into a small piece of their subconscious. Here's 10 big names in politics, past and present, randomly chosen, ( well, randomly chosen because these are the names I could Google and find the film answers for...) and their favorite movies.

Adolf Hitler- King Kong/1933

Yeah the 5'8" little bull fascist liked the big ape. Sigmund Freud probably had a field day dissecting this guy and his flick of choice. I'm thinking it had to do with the height of Kong. And the fact that he went rampaging across New York city with a white girl under his arm...

Franklin Roosevelt - Snow White and the Seven Dwarves/1937

Meanwhile on the other side of the war, and the world for that matter, the American President was down with Disney. Don't really know what this says about old Frank, maybe that he wasn't a guy moved by popular opinion. I mean he could have chose Gone with the Wind like everyone else but he went with Disney's first animated flick.

Richard Nixon - Patton/1970

Now this makes sense. Nixon liked Patton. It's his wife's first name crushed together with his last name. Of course he loved this movie.

John F. Kennedy - Spartacus/1960

It might be a surprise that JFK's favorite movie didn't star Marylin Monroe. The man did like his Westerns, but he loved Spartacus.

Bill Clinton - High Noon/1952

A Gary Cooper western with the words "High" and "Noon" in the title. Hmmmmmm....

Hilary Clinton - The Wizard of Oz/1939

Sure you could easily insert "Wicked Witch of the West Joke" here. But I'm not about to do that.

I really don't know what this film pick says about the former first lady. Just that she really loves a movie that gave me nightmares as a child. Which now that I bring it up - I don't know what that says about me either...

George W. Bush - Field of Dreams/1989

Well he did own the Texas Rangers at one time. But I'm sure the shoe-chucking critics of this President will find deeper meaning in Bush's film choice. Was he thinking of those fat, mostly undeveloped, practically unprotected oil fields of the Sinai when he made this decision? There you go guys - I just got you started.

Saddam Hussein - The Day of the Jackal/1973

This movie title speaks volumes about this now deceased leader of Iraq...

Sarah Palin - Rudy/1993

The first lady of Wasilla Alaska likes Rudy, And not this Rudy, but this Rudy

Barack Obama - The Godfather/1972

It could have been that other gangster flick - Scarface. Could a Presidential candidate even get elected if he mentioned that Scarface was his favorite movie ever? I'm doubting it. Nice pick Obama.

I'm down to three last 2008 films to see this week. My Top 10 2008 list will be up and running next Monday.
