'The Jerk' (Steve Martin) and 'The Closer' (Alec Baldwin) to host Oscars together!

It's Alec and Steve, not Adam and Eve...
Come March 7th 2010 it'll be Night on Bald Martin... I mean a night with Baldwin and Martin. That's right gold-groupies and Oscar-mired wieners - this year's Oscar ceremony will have TWO HOSTS. Both Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will be hosting the show together.
Obviously attendance has dropped for the award show these last few years. I blame politics creeping in to an otherwise festive film celebration. Others may blame the lack of popular films being nominated. It seems like this year the Oscar masters have decided to nominate everything, (nine(!) films will be up for Best Picture) and double the Host load.... Hey, I'm sure it'll work just dandy. In fact it's the best news for Oscar hosts that I've heard since Billy Crystal quit.
Our two matured Oscar escorts had this to say about co-hosting the show together:
"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin," said Martin.
"I don't play the banjo but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars - it's the opportunity of a lifetime," said Baldwin.
It should be noted that both Martin and Baldwin will be starring in the new Universal Christmas romantic comedy It's Complicated - and should be ready just around Oscar night to be pimping the sweet bejesus out of the DVD release...
