I'm betting Jake Gyllenhaal is still digging sand out of his shorts...

These are dark, dark days indeed... Just when you thought video game movie scripts only skidded across Uwe Boll's desk - someone goes and lays one in the hands of Jerry Bruckheimer.

Trailer Critique: If there's been one constant in the movie business, one true point to navigate your ships by, one universal truth, it's that video game adaptations suck ass. But if Disney can turn a 20 minute amusement park ride into a 2 billion dollar film empire, surely it can make a video game movie worth a tinker's damn.

Being a fan of the Prince of Persia game series I'm kind of scratching my head at the new trailer. I think Jake Gyllenhaal looks great as the Prince. (I guess we needed to "hot" Gyllenhaal up a few more notches to get the ladies out there interested in a video game adaptation) The setting and special effects look terrific. This looks like an official Summer action smorgasbord. No I'm scratching my head at the total lack of repeat deaths by the Prince. I remember when I was diving, rolling, slicing, jumping, through these games I must have died a thousand deaths... Even with the help of the Sands of Time rewind thingy. Oh well, artistic license and all that. I guess what I'm mostly miffed about is the total lack of Godsmack in the film score...

Now when will we be getting a Killzone movie?
