A TV pilot called Bad Apples is doing some location shooting in Queens and Manhattan over the next few days.
According to producer Josh Folan, Bad Apples is a "Seinfeld-esqu" comedy about 20-something struggling artist-types in NYC. It stars Matthew Nicklaw, who goes MIA in the first episode after hooking up during last call. Also starring are Ginger Kroll, who appeared in the recent bio-pic Notorious, and Kathy Searle, who can be seen in the upcoming movie The Good Guy.
Written by Josh Billig, direct by Ryan Cummings, and co-produced by Matthew Jared, Bad Apples is scheduled to film at the tennis courts in Frederick Jonson Playground (7th Ave. and 150th St.) Saturday morning, in the vicinity of Shore Blvd. and Ditmars Ave. in Astoria on Sunday afternoon, and in a private residence on 55th St. in Manhattan on Monday.
