The Christian marathon runner - lesson number 3 - lose weight
This is a lesson I learned on the bike in triathlons and cross country cycling and when rock climbing.
"A sure fire way to become better is to lose weight."
In ultrarunning they now have Clydsdale divisions. They didn't have them when I competed. There is no fat man division in running and climbing though there is in boxing, wrestling and, well, I don't know what else.
It's an easy lesson. If you want to go faster, be better, lose weight. It's as simple as that.
The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1-3 that we ought to set aside all those things that way us down and run....
Easy enough, eh?
