Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

It is not known what kind of memorial service Michael Jackson will have. See Was Michael Jackson a Christian, Muslim, Kabbalist or Jehovah Witness at the end?

A lot else is known.

Before that...put me back in the camp of those who thought they have seen everything but hasn't.

There is a website - Michael Jackson Funeral. It gives you everything you wanted to know about the funeral service but were afraid to ask.

The memorial service

A random drawing will be held later to decide who gets tickets.

The Michael Jackson viewing will start at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7th, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

11,000 folk will get in to watch and 6,500 will watch live on a big screen in nearby Nokia theatre.

Meanwhile...there is a weekly public memorial service that happens all across the world with many more followers than Michael ever had. The memorial service is to Jesus and in the form of communion.

It celebrates the fact that he lived among us, died and rose again.

Question: if Jesus did not live, die and rise again then what is this 2000 year old memorial service for?
