Governor Mark Sanford

It has been etched in stone (literally) for nearly 3,500 years. Written by the hand of God.

"You shall not commit adultery." Exodus 20:14

The Creator said long ago, "Don't go there!"

Still Governor Mark Sanford went there, apparently with more than one woman. According "to him he 'crossed lines' with a handful of women other than his mistress — but never had sex with them. The governor says he 'never crossed the ultimate line' with anyone but Maria Belen Chapur."

Yeah, and Bill Clinton didn't inhale.

More details here.

What happens when folk like Governor Sanford commit adultery is families are broken, trust is lost even from those you are closest to, kids lives are severly damaged even into future generations, lies are told and retold, careers are destroyed and more.

What happens to governors is the same thing that happens to anyone who 'crosses lines' whether the 'ultimate line' or not.

Adultery - don't go there. It's not worth the momentary pleasures. It is not real love.

Still there is forgiveness to be found. Adultery is NOT the unforgiveable sin. But, it hurts you and those around you for a long time.
