To be fair, Michael Jackson didn't know it was his last day. Jesus did.

Michael Jackson spent the last night of his life performing, in rehearsals at the Staples Center, running through a slate of songs for his upcoming 50-concert London, flanked by friends and colleagues.

"He was just glowing, and you could see it, that he was finally seeing it all come together."

MJ left rehearsals right before midnight and headed off to attend yet more meetings. He died 12 hours later.

Jesus spent the night before his death encouraging his friends/disciples over dinner, then in prayer, then on trial (a very different kind of meeting) before he was flogged and finally crucified. Big difference. Matthew 26-27 Yet, similar.

Both Michael Jackson and Jesus got to spend their last moments with friends.

Everyone should be surrounded by friends and family when the end is coming.
