A student at Bonny Eagle High School graduation in Maine was denied his diploma for throwing his mother a kiss when he walked upon the stage.

The administrators feel they were just enforcing the rules that students agreed to.

Details can be found here, here and here.

This is not the first time a kiss has caused problems. The 'holy kiss' used to be part of the church until after the Civil War. At that time black folk became free and the story goes that some black folk wandered into a church full of white people that used to greet one another with such holy kisses but nobody wanted to greet the black folk.

And so went the kiss...

My bet is the boy and others who were denied their diplomas for their shenanigans will get them soon enough. But, not until a stink and lawsuits and hollering and ....

Can't we all just holy kiss and make up?

Romans 16:15-17 applies - Greet one another with a holy kiss.
