The Rincon Hill Area Plan includes significantly widening one side of the sidewalks on Spear, Main, and Beale Streets between Folsom and Bryant to help create new "Liviing Streets" that invite people to walk more and to use the additional space for recreational purposes.  The first section of sidewalk to reflect this part of the Rincon Hill Streetscape Plan recently appeared on the northeast corner of The Infinity condominium complex at Spear and Folsom streets.  Personally, I cannot wait to see all three streets' sidewalks expanded stretching from Bryant all the way up to Mission Street (from Folsom to Mission being a part of the Transbay District Streetscape & Open Space Plan).
