No Starbucks closures slated for Rincon Hill

None of the seven Starbucks locations inside Rincon Hill's 94105 zip code are scheduled to close, according to a list posted on the Starbucks corporate web site. Only two San Francisco locations are closing; the Starbucks kiosk inside the Metreon at 4th and Mission and the Starbucks located near Westfield Shopping Centre at 5th and Market.
Rincon Hill residents can exhale with relief now that we know we won't lose any grounds on the small number of businesses in the neighborhood that actually open their doors for business on Sundays and allow residents to meet one another informally, drink some caffeine, and read a newspaper or surf web sites on their laptops. Hallelujah!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a second Crossroads Cafe location, like the one on Delancey Street in adjacent South Beach.
