Calling all Frugalistas, Recessionistas, Dealistas, and Couponistas... Savings.com is looking for 30 DealPros to be honored at their inaugural Save Up event in San Francisco on November 5th, all-expenses paid, which of course is just a fancy way of saying "free." You have until Tuesday, 10/20 to apply to be a "DealPro" and convince the folks at savings.com that you are a worthy deal hack and should be flown out here for the event.
Recently I wrote about the combined efforts of moneyStrands and Savings.com to bring moneyStrands customers the best and most relevant coupon savings, delivered via their online app. The Save Up event, sponsored by Savings.com, is another step in their latest innovative business moves.
Worth the (Free) Trip
Savings.com (of Santa Monica) has picked the wonderful city of San Francisco for their first frugal event at a perfect tourist time of year - yesterday the temperature was a mild 85 degrees and unless there is another typhoon off of Japan, the weather should be great. The event is being held at the W San Francisco, 181 3rd Street in San Francisco - a prime SOMA location (yours truly works a half block away).
DealPro winners will be announced in the next week or so.
It'll be a day of savings-themed panels, ridiculously cheap roundtables, frugal-forward discussions, and general coupon conversation.
