Do you want to be a racer on TV? "Racer", a new reality television show being produced in the Tampa Bay area with the help of Mofo Motorsports, combines two of the most popular on-air entertainment concepts – auto racing and reality television – to create an unmatched, action-packed 8 week TV series scheduled to air the second quarter of 2009.  The winner of RACER will receive national exposure, a cash award and a championship trophy. Mofo Motorsports is a top ten StreetFire.net channel.

Racer consists of a 6 week/episode, "reality" television series offered in :30 minute segments that will ultimately result in an amateur race car driver (the winner) receiving multi-market television exposure, a Championship Trophy, a cash prize and potential national recognition in the auto racing business.

This new reality show by Tampa Bay by 3 Players Sports Group, Inc. is taking applicants for the first season. Do you enjoy racing your vehicle? You should apply! Applications only cost $5.00 to cover review costs and may include a dvd/cd of the applicant explaining why he or she should be chosen if they prefer. The deadline for application is March 31, 2009.

Requirements are that you are at least 18 years of age, posses a valid drivers license, and have never participated as a professional driver.  Contestants will be judged on a point system. Each weekly show will have a winner, and those winners will race in the final show for the grand prize. This gives local racers of Tampa Bay a chance to get national exposure doing what they love.
