Balboa Park is located in San Diego near the I-8 and I-5 interstate exits, close to Old Town, the airport and cruise lines. There is easy access to Balboa Park from virtually any direction within the city limits. RVers will find RV parks and resorts near the city, but will not find acceptable parking areas for RVs inside of Balboa Park

- Other museums. There are about a dozen additional museums, theatres, the San Diego Zoo and other very interesting and entertaining features within Balboa Park. The Park was developed in the late 1800s and was the site of the 1935-36 California Pacific Exposition. Because the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit with descriptions and models of his inventions is located in the Air and Space Museum we shall offer a brief tour of that facility..jpg)
Recently the Museum was the site of a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Appolo 8 flight and achievements of the US astronauts. Several former astronauts were in attendance. 
For pilots and airplane buffs there are some interesting old and mid age planes and opportunities to be up close and personal with airplanes that are nearly extinct.
