CNN has broadcast a video Michael Jackson in rehearsal at Staples. The video, exclusive to CNN, showed the rehearsal with Jackson singing and dancing on Tuesday, June 23. The last available video of Jackson was filmed two nights before he died
on June 25, 2009.
The video clip was of Michael Jackson rehearsing "They Don't Really Care About Us" from his History album.
The video segment was only about 90 seconds long. The pop star looked active, was moving well and his voice sounded like it used to. The show appeared to have a military theme, with Jackson and the background dancers saluting and marching sharply to the beat. This is the show that spectators in London would have seen live in Jackson's upcoming London concert tour.
Dr. Sanjay Gupta viewed the tape, on CNN, and commentated that he didn't want to read too much into the video, but that Jackson looked good, was moving well, and certainly did not look like someone who was sick. If Jackson was not sick this could be another indication that the death was caused by prescription drug use, as as been speculated.
No doubt the video will be scrutinized by countless officials as they analyze the reasons for Jackson's sudden death.
The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) has officially started inquiries into Michael Jackson's death, according to reports by CNN.
