Showtime

Showtime TV has announced that the Sunday, November 1, 2009 episode of Dexter was the higest rated single telecast on Showtime since 2004, breaking last week's record setting episode. Dexter stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter. John Lithgow portrays serial killer Arthur Mitchell, the Trinity Killer.

After weeks of investigation and preparation, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) cleverly imbeds himself into Trinity/Arthur Mitchell's (John Lithgow) seemingly idyllic world. “His cycle is over. It will be a while before he kills again,” rationalizes Dexter. “He’s not an immediate threat and I have so much to learn.”

Meanwhile, Dexter’s carefully constructed facade of a home life begins to come apart as Rita insists on marriage counseling. Will Dexter be able to maintain his suburban pretense along with his Trinity obsession? “I will kill him. I need to, but right now I need to save my family first.”
