ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips was fired by the cable network less than a week after admitting to having an affair with a staffer. Phillips, the former general manager of the Mets, has entered a treatment facility to address his problems, according to a Phillips representative as reported on ESPN .

Steve Phillips admitted on Wednesday that he had a relationship with 22 year old production assistant Brooke Hundley. Ms. Hundley has also been terminated by ESPN.

Hundley began to contact Steve Phillips' wife , Mami, after he broke off the affair. Mami Phillips called police and reported Hundley on August 19, 2009.
